Safari Extension (iPhone)

The Safari extension for iPhone lets you earn Wards 🎁 when shopping online with WeWard partners — even when you’re not shopping from the app!

How does it work?

When you browse Safari and arrive at a partner’s website, the extension automatically notifies you.

For “Wardback” (Wards earned following a purchase on a partner’s website) to work, 2 conditions must be met:

• ✅ The offer is activated
• 🍪 The merchant site’s cookies are accepted (this is what makes it possible to track your purchase)

If one of these is missing, a reminder will appear:

• When you arrive on the partner’s website
• One last time if you add an item to your cart without activating Wardback

Once your purchase is complete, your Wards will appear in the history of the WeWard app (the confirmation time varies depending on the partner and can take up to 90 days, and 120 days in some cases).

I’m on a partner’s website, but I don’t see anything

There are several possible reasons:

• 🚫 No Wardback available on this website at the moment → check whether the extension suggests similar partners
• 🔗 You arrived via a link from another offer or extension → WeWard does not display its offer so as not to interfere with tracking already set up elsewhere
• 👤 You don’t have a WeWard account → download the app first, create your account, then return to activate the extension (it is not possible to create an account from the extension itself)

What data does the extension use?

The extension needs certain information to work: to recognize partner websites, activate your Wardback, award you your Wards, and suggest similar partners. For these suggestions, only the name of the sit

With your consent only, it may also:

• 📊 Measure how you use the extension, to improve it (“Usage analytics”)
• 🔍 Count your visits anonymously to merchant websites that are not yet partners, to determine where to suggest new alternatives (“Help us suggest alternatives”). Only the site name is counted: never the complete page address, and never linked to your account.

Your browsing data is never sold or used for targeted advertising.

To change your mind at any time: on a partner’s website, open the WeWard window, then tap the ⚙️ icon next to the X to access the privacy settings.

Safari isn’t my default browser — will it still work?

No. The extension only works if Safari is your default browser on iPhone.

If you use another browser every day, you have two options:

• 📲 Use the WeWard app to shop with our partners
• ⚙️ Make Safari your default browser

And if you have a computer, you can also:

• 💻 Install the WeWard extension on Chrome from a computer

⚙️ Install the extension

A. Make Safari your default browser

1. Open Settings on your iPhone
2. Select Apps
3. Tap “Default Apps ” 
4. Tap “Browser” 
5. Choose Safari

B. Activate the extension

1. Make sure you have the latest version of the WeWard app
2. Tap “Install Safari extension” from the app
3. Follow the instructions in Safari
4. Tap the Page Menu icon (to the left of the search bar)
5. Select “Manage Extensions ”
6. Enable WeWard, then confirm

C. Authorize the extension

1. Tap Page Menu
2. Select “WeWard ”
3. Tap “Always Allow ”
4. Confirm with “Always Allow on Every Website ”
    

⚠️ This last step is essential: it allows the extension to recognize partner websites and correctly track your cookies.

The first time you arrive on a merchant website, the extension asks for your privacy preferences:

• “Only essential”: the extension works, with nothing more
• “Accept all”: you also help us improve the extension and offer more alternatives
• “Customize”: you choose option by option

You earn your Wards in all cases.

Chrome / Edge Extension (Computer)

The WeWard extension for Chrome and Edge lets you earn Wards 🎁 by shopping with our partners from your computer.

How does it work?

Once the extension is installed and connected to your account, a small WeWard icon appears on the right edge of the page when you’re on a partner’s website.

As on mobile, 2 conditions are required to receive your “Wardback” (Wards earned following a purchase on a partner’s website):

• ✅ The offer is activated
• 🍪 The site’s cookies are accepted

A reminder appears if one is missing — including one last time when you reach the cart.

⚙️ Install the extension

1. Make sure you have the latest version of the WeWard app

2. Tap “Install Chrome extension” from the app

   
    

3. Open the WeWard email on your computer
4. Add the extension from the Chrome Web Store

5. Check the box to accept the terms of use, then sign in with your WeWard account (email, Apple, or Google)

    

   
    

6. On the final screen, choose your privacy preferences: “Only essential”, “Accept all”, or “Customize”. You earn your Wards in all cases.

7. Pin the extension so you can easily find it 
    

   

Don’t have a WeWard account? Download the WeWard app on your phone first — it is not possible to create an account from the extension.
