Some spots on the WeCards map now come with a specific card attached.
The spot beneath the Statue of Liberty gives you the Statue of Liberty WeCard;
The spot by the Eiffel Tower gives you the Eiffel Tower WeCard...
Go to the spot, collect there, and that exact card is yours.
What is a Unique Location?
A unique location is a spot on the WeCards map with one specific card attached to it. It sits at a real place that matches the card, like a landmark, park, or monument. You'll find them across the cities and regions of the WeCards collections.
The first time you collect at a unique location, you get its card. After that, you get a random card each time you collect it. All other spots on the map still give you a random card, just like before.
How do I find them on the map?
Unique Locations show up on the map as a special card back with a location pin, so you can tell them apart from regular spots at a glance. Its color tells you what you can do:
| Gold – A Unique Location you haven't collected at today. Head there to collect! | |
| Green – You're close enough: collect now to get the card. | |
| Gray – You've already collected at this spot today, or you've already collected your 7 cards for the day. |
How do I collect a unique location card?
- Open the WeCards map and find a Unique Location (gold card back with a pin).
- Go there in person.
- When the card back turns green, collect as usual.
The first time you collect at that spot, you get its specific card instead of a random one.
Do I need to be exactly at the landmark?
No. You need to be at the spot shown on the map, which is at or near the landmark, not necessarily right in front of it. WeWard uses your phone's location to check that you're there, so make sure location access is turned on.
I already have that card. Will I still get it?
Yes. The first time you collect at a Unique Location, you get its card even if it's already in your collection.
What happens if I collect at the same unique location again?
You get a random card, like at any regular spot. You only get the specific card the first time you collect there.
Does a unique location card count toward my daily WeCards?
Yes. Collecting at a Unique Location counts as one of your 7 cards for the day, like any other card.
Is there a limit to how many unique locations I can collect at?
Not for unique locations specifically. The usual daily rules apply to every spot: you can collect at each spot once a day, and up to 7 cards a day in total.
I can't travel to a landmark. Can I still complete my collection?
Yes. Unique Location cards can also turn up as random cards at regular spots, so you can complete your collection without traveling. Visiting the landmark is simply the guaranteed way to get that card.
I'm at the spot, but I didn't get the card. What should I do?
- Check that WeWard has access to your location ("While using the app" or "Always"), with precise location turned on.
- Move closer to the spot shown on the map and try again: the card back must be green before you collect.
- Check whether you've already collected at this spot before. You only get the specific card the first time; after that, the spot gives you a random card.
- Check that you haven't already collected your 7 cards for today (the card back turns gray).
