Walk Mode is a WeWard feature that blocks the apps you choose until you reach the step goal you set for yourself.
No steps, no scrolling. Goal reached, apps unlocked.
| What is Walk Mode?Walk Mode links access to your most distracting apps to your daily walking goal. You choose the apps, you choose the number of steps, and WeWard takes care of the rest by graying out those apps on your home screen until the goal is reached. It is completely optional: you activate it when you need it, and deactivate it when you no longer want it. |

My apps are grayed out and won't open. Is this a bug?
No, the grayed-out apps or those that refuse to open on your home screen correspond to Walk Mode: the apps you selected remain locked until you reach your daily step goal.
This is the expected behavior of the feature, and nothing is damaged on your phone.
How do I unlock my apps?
- Reach your daily step goal. The apps will then unlock automatically.
- Disable Walk Mode at any time.
How do I disable Walk Mode?
From the app Settings, click on the Walk Mode section, then tap on the "Enabled" label to modify or disable Walk Mode.
Walk Mode was not designed to prevent you from accessing your own phone: you can manually disable it whenever you want, even before reaching your goal.
I uninstalled and reinstalled WeWard and nothing changed. Why?
The lock is a device-level control, not a WeWard app setting.
Reinstalling WeWard, clearing the cache, or restarting your phone will not lift the block.
The only way to unlock your apps is to reach your step goal or disable Walk Mode from the settings.
Can I access an app before reaching my goal?
Yes. You can manually disable Walk Mode at any time by going back to your settings.
On which devices is Walk Mode available?
Walk Mode is currently available only on iOS. An Android version is planned.
Does Walk Mode share my data?
No. Locking an app does not share your data with that app, with WeWard, or with anyone else. It is a device-level control.
Why does this feature exist?
Most apps are designed to keep your eyes glued to them as long as possible. Walk Mode uses the same mechanisms but oriented in the opposite direction: walk more, unlock more, and let your steps earn you something real this time, including your own attention.
